Storytelling has always been a big part of my life. From the time I was little, my mom read to me and did ALL the voices while I acted out the parts. I learned how to read at an early age because of her involvement, but I also drove her crazy because I was always begging her to tell me stories! To save her voice, my parents got me a Fisher Price tape recorder that played books on tape.
While Mom gave me a love of stories, Dad gave me a love of music and taught me how to make mixed tapes at the age when other kids were learning how to roller blade. Armed with my new toy and an endless supply of blank cassettes, I started recording myself reading some of my favorite books. A monster was born. I couldn't stop. If I wasn't performing in a show or making music, I had to read to people. I loved that I could tell a story, be everyone in it, and make a book more accessible to someone who might not otherwise have picked it up. And now, as an audiobook narrator and podcast host, it's my job! Only God could have invented a career for me that uses everything I have and gives me so much creative freedom. I'm beyond grateful for the way He's made for me.
